Woodlands, serpentine Guilford Creek, and a bit of pasture convey with this 20 1/2 acres. A tract of land, 400 acres +-, was purchased to build a landing and loading for tobacco. Guildford inhabitants from 1664 to date still carry the family names and rarely do they sell their homes or land. Patent to Colonel Edmund Scarburgh, 1000 acres, 1670, encompassing Guilford Creek lands. Notable families acquired the land in the early 1800s. Mason House, Boxwood Estate, to name a few of the preserved historical homes, have survived from Guilford's earlier days in good style.
