Chincoteague Island & Boat Tours

Captain Dan`s Around The Island Tours

Captain Dan`s Around the Island Tours are a long time favorite of Chincoteague Island visitors. Running whenever the weather is warm enough, Dan`s provides an unequaled experience as well as an unrivaled knowledge of our local Eco-System, providing an educational experience as well as a scenic view of our Islands.

Captains Dan`s provides guided boat tours of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, where you may see Wild Ponies, Dolphin, Eagles and so much more. Try our updated "Pony Tour", available weekday afternoons.

Dan`s picks up at the Town of Chincoteague`s floating dock in Robert Reed Park, just down from the famous "Love Chairs.". Many mornings you will see "Impulsive" docked just a few slips up. Stop and say hello on your way by. Impulsive belongs to Lance & Elaine Stitcher, the owners of Seaside Vacations. We are always happy to talk with visitors of our lovely little piece of paradise.

Captain Barry`s Back Bay Cruises

Your Guide: Capt. Barry has been called the "Indiana Jones of Chincoteague". Captain Barry has been operating his eco-tours for more than 25 years. Forbes Magazine describes Captain Barry as, "a whirlwind of energy and an encyclopedia of Chincoteague wildlife. He keeps the tours limited to six, so he can "crawl around on his hands and knees" with every passenger."

Captain Barry provides an incredible view into our local ecosystem, and while you`ll likely see plenty of wildlife while cruising around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, this cruise will give you an interactive experience...in other words, Barry will have you off the boat and learning about what lives in our local waters and marshes. Oh, and Barry is just a fun guy to be around. He`ll keep you entertained for hours!
