Welcome to Bishop House - a wonderful family home rich in the history and traditions of our wonderful Little Island by the Sea! Tucked on a spacious corner lot on Church Street, Bishop House truly is close to everywhere you want to be, yet still feels a million miles away from the real world. From this home base, you’re only a few steps away from our famous Farmers Market, and a super short stroll to Historic Downtown Main Street Shops and Restaurants, as well as Robert Reed Waterfront Park - home of many free events during the Summer months, and always home to THE best Chincoteague Sunsets!

This charming Chincoteague Cottage has it all, and a great location to boot! You’ll love relaxing in the cozy Living Area after a fun-filled day at the Beach, which is less than 10 minutes away, and enjoying Free WiFi and Flat Screen Smart TV. Since everyone always gathers in the Kitchen, we made sure there’s plenty of room for all with both a Center Island and a Breakfast Nook. Whipping up family meals will be a bay breeze in this well-stocked Kitchen, with all the comforts of home. Grill the Fresh Catch of the Day - which hopefully you caught - on the Gas Grill out back, and dine in the comfort of Central AC in the Dining Room, or Al-Fresco in the Picnic Area. And if you love taking in that salty, sweet sea breeze, there are 4 Rockers on the covered front porch just waiting for y’all. Sip morning coffee as you watch our sleepy island come to life each morning - there’s nothing like it.

This lovely home is quite deceiving, and sleeps 8 people in 4 spacious Bedrooms! Bedroom 1 is warm and inviting with rosy walls and a comfy Queen Bed. Tucked off the Kitchen on the 1st Floor, it’s perfect for those not wanting to deal with stairs. Just across the hall, you’ll find Full Bath 1, which has a Tub/Shower Combo, and is also convenient to the Kitchen and Living Areas. There is also a Washer and Dryer for your convenience.

Wandering upstairs, you’ll find 3 more Bedrooms and another Full Bath. But wait, as you climb the stairs, be sure to turn around at the top. There’s something about the way the sun comes through the stacked stairwell window with a gable peak window above it - we just love it!

Bedroom 2 is dressed in hues pulled right from nature, and has a Queen Bed and Sitting Area. Bedroom 3, next door, is pretty in pink, and has a Full Bed. Finally, Bedroom 4 has dramatic teal walls and a Queen Bed. Full Bath 2 is shared upstairs and has a Tub/Shower Combo.

All of this, and only minutes from one of the most visited and pristine beaches in America, Assateague National Seashore and the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge, where our famous Wild Ponies roam free. Whether your passion is searching for our ponies, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, or simply taking in the unimaginable beauty our area has to offer, no one in your family will be disappointed!
