Welcome to Calm Tide, a peaceful waterfront escape on beautiful Chincoteague Island. Tucked on South Main Street, this charming townhome offers the perfect blend of privacy and scenery, with only one neighboring home and a shared pier that invites you to slow down and soak it all in.

Wake to breathtaking views of the Chincoteague Bay right out front, where the water sparkles in the morning light and boats drift by at an easy pace. Sip your morning coffee as you watch Herons, Eagles, and Egrets fish for their morning meal - there’s really nothing like it. At the end of the day, take in our famous Chincoteague sunsets over the Bay - and there’s no such thing as “just another sunset” when you’re on island time….

As if these views aren’t enough, Calm Tide is unique and special in that it also offers amazing Marsh Views from the back of the house. Kick back and take in that salty, sweet sea breeze while watching minnows, birds, and turtles go about their business. There’s so much to see, you may never want to leave! And we haven’t even gone inside yet!

Calm Tide has an awesome Reverse Floor Plan, which maximizes those Views in every direction! You can see forever from the Decks off of the Living Area, which is on the 3rd Floor. You’ll love sinking into comfy furnishings after a fun-filled day at Assateague National Seashore, which is less than 10 minutes from the house, and one of the most visited and pristine beaches in America - and of course, where our famous Wild Ponies roam free! Enjoy family movie night on the Flat Screen Smart TV, or slip out to stargaze on the Deck. With lots of space and seating areas, there is plenty of room to be together without ever feeling crowded. There’s a convenient Half Bath just off the Kitchen and Living Area, as well.

The Chef in your family will adore the well-stocked Kitchen with Stainless Appliances, Quartz Countertops, and all the comforts of home. You can dine in the comfort of Central AC in the Dining Area, or even at the Picnic Table on the Shared Pier! And if you’re not one to cook on Vacation, you’re a short ride from several fabulous restaurants. Out back, you’ll also find a Shared Patio (with just one other home) that has an outdoor dining set.

Calm Tide sleeps 6 more than comfortably in 2 Bedrooms, plus a Den with a Sleeper Sofa. From the Living Area, wander upstairs to Bedroom 1, which is a Primary Loft Bedroom with comfy King Bed. The first thing you’ll see each morning is incredible Bay Views! With a Sitting Area facing these views, and a Waterfront Deck to kick back on, this truly is a special Bedroom. Because it is a Loft Bedroom, it’s open on one side and feels so light, bright, and open!

Wandering back downstairs to the lower level, you’ll find Bedroom 2, the Den, a Sitting Area, and another Full Bath. Bedroom 2 is dressed in colors of a sand dune, and has a comfy Queen Bed, warm wood furnishings, and Flat Screen Smart TV. Right next door, you’ll find the Den, which has a Full Sleeper Sofa, Work Station, and access to the Bay View Deck, with a couple of Adirondack Chairs just waiting for you.

A stay at Calm Tide is not just about having a place to lay your head at night - it’s a true Vacation Experience, with a Shared Pier for fishing and crabbing in the front, and beautiful, serene Marsh Views in the back!
