Welcome to Utter East, a peaceful island retreat tucked along a quiet side street in the heart of Chincoteague Island. With 4 Bedrooms, 2 separate Living Areas, and exceptional outdoor spaces, this inviting home gives families plenty of room to spend time together, without ever feeling crowded. Named for the mysterious destination in The Chronicles of Narnia, Utter East feels like a place worth seeking: quiet, comfortable, and made for meaningful time together.

Slow mornings are best enjoyed on the huge Screened Porch, while sunny afternoons call for relaxing on the expansive Decks. As evening settles in, head down to the beautifully landscaped Pondside Sitting Area, gather around the Fire Pit, and unwind beneath the island sky. This private outdoor setting is what makes Utter East truly special. Kick back, listen to the Tree Frogs sing, and simply “be” together.

Inside, the main level offers a comfortable Living Room, plus an additional Den/Family Room - perfect for when the adults and kiddos want their own spaces. After a wonderful day exploring Assateague National Seashore, where our famous Wild Ponies roam free, sink into the oversized, comfy furnishings and enjoy family movie night on the large Flat Screen Smart TV.

Mealtime will be easy breezy in the well-equipped Eat-in Kitchen with all the comforts of home, and there’s actually room for everyone between the huge Dining Area and Kitchen Dining Table! Not one to cook on vacation? We’ve got you covered, as you’re only a hop, skip, and jump away from the best dining options on our Island!

Utter East sleeps 10 more than comfortably in 4 Bedrooms, and with 2 Baths. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are located on the 1st Floor, perfect for those not wanting to deal with a lot of steps. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious King Bed, while Bedroom 2 is equipped with a comfy Queen. Both Bedrooms have plenty of space and storage, and share a Full Bath with Tub/Shower Combo, also convenient to the Living Area. There’s also a Full Size Washer and Dryer on this level.

Wandering upstairs, you’ll find 2 more Bedrooms and another Full Bath. One of the things that makes Utter East awesome is that with 2 King Bedrooms, it’s also a great home for 2 smaller families to share! Bedroom 3 has that comfy King Bed, while Bedroom 4 is perfect for the kids with 2 sets of Bunkbeds, sleeping 4 total! The 2nd Full Bath is shared, and also has a Tub/Shower Combo.
